Wedding Venue Search

The Brief

Intimate wedding reception (not a traditional Polish wedding) for 30–40 guests near Warsaw. Multi-day gathering, not a one-night affair.

Anti-Requirements (What We Don't Want)

Justyna explicitly does not want a traditional Polish wedding format:

  • No classic DJ games (dance competitions, balloon popping, etc.)
  • No formal cake-cutting ceremony
  • No silly band / cover band entertainment
  • No structured "wedding program" with forced activities
  • Basically: no poprawiny-style cringe — keep it organic, relaxed, and natural

The vibe should feel like a long weekend with friends and family that happens to include a celebration, not a choreographed wedding event.

Hard Requirements

  • Budget: Under 30,000 PLN total (accommodation + food + transport + activities)
  • Duration: 3–4 days
  • Location: Within the Warsaw–Kraków–Poznań triangle
  • Vibe: Rustic, family-run, agritourism feel — NOT a hotel or wedding venue
  • Accommodation: On-site beds for all 40 guests
  • Food: On-site kitchen/catering (home-cooked, not fancy)
  • Exclusive use of property strongly preferred
  • Relaxation: Sauna + balia (hot tub) + ideally massage
  • Activities: Kayaks or other water access, land to roam, outdoor space
  • Framing: Must be pitched as "group retreat/celebration" NOT "wedding" to avoid 2–3x markup

Reference Point

Karczma Parchatka in Kazimierz Dolny — right vibe (rustic, river, traditional) but found to be "small and low quality." Wants that energy but better executed.

Inquiry Strategy

When contacting venues, frame as:

"We're organizing a group weekend retreat for ~40 people, 3–4 nights. We'd like exclusive use of the property, full board (breakfast + dinner minimum), and access to any on-site activities. We'll have one celebration dinner but this is NOT a wedding — just friends and family getting together. Could you send us a quote?"

Key Questions to Ask

  1. Is exclusive use available? At what price?
  2. Full board pricing for 40 people, 3–4 nights?
  3. What water activities are available on-site or can be organized nearby? (kayaks, boats)
  4. Is there a sauna/balia on-site? If not, can we bring a mobile one?
  5. What's the total all-in price (accommodation + food + activities)?
